Data Accuracy | |
Market data is provided by a third party and believed to be accurate
and reliable. We do not independently verify the data supplied and
therefore cannot insure that the information is accurate or
complete. We do not in any way warrant or guarantee the success of any
action taken by relying on the data, tools, or articles published by
Optionistics.
Optionistics uses delayed End of Day market data. Reports are generated using this data, which, although believed to be accurate, may contain discrepancies or omissions, and is subject to corrections. Computation of theoretical prices, implied and historical volatility, Greeks, and other intermediate results are based on approximation algorithms and are therefore subject to variations and inaccuracies. This is particularly evident with lightly traded securities and cheap securities, since small price changes in inexpensive stocks can significantly effect the computed volatility and/or ratio of return on an investment.
Ultimately, the price of an option is the trade price. Optionistics uses delayed data and there is no guarantee that the exact prices used in the computation of quotes, charts or reports will be available at the moment a trade is entered. Optionistics does not offer investment advice and trading activity should be made only after consulting a professional investment advisor, and complying with your broker's requirements.
